I am wondering at your use of words here... could you perhaps explain what you mean?
What ridiculous vocabulary?? I haven't really noticed any. And just because a book has won awards doesn't mean it has ridiculous vocab.
The southern vocab princess! comon, keep up here!
This post is confusing. Maybe the reason your having trouble with the vocabulary is cause you dont know how to spell. Sorry im not trying to be mean. Just something i have noticed
yeah...no need to get offensive. i was just stating my opinion.
i just think some of the vocab is hard. we arn't all as smart as you.
Honestly, be realistic. The vocablulary is easy enough to understand.
You are being quite contrary of yourself. Oh, the errors. First of all it's ridiculous, and intriguing. Perhaps the book is a smidge on the sophisticated side. It's a vocabulary broadener for sure. But, you are just not having an open mind. The way they talk is part of the story.
W.W.J.D
yeah i totally agree, and sorry if if i offendid you bye mispelin' some werds.
It ain't ridiculous...I talk like that sometimes...I mean its still how people talk. You go down to the South and you hear people talk like that. I was raised around the Southern diction...or what ya'll call "hick" talk. Its the way people talk..somebody from California might think the way you talk is ridiculos. Get over it.
Ok I'm not being racist. Learn the right word.
yeah its not racist. get your act together.
Fine. You caught me. But please try to understand that some people think its hard to understand differnt styles of speaking. We all have different brains. Some have the brains ... Some have the athleticism.
cant we all be friends ?
Hahahaha this is hilarious..
I'm from sixth hour .. this is really funny to read.
We have some interesting debates as well :)
CHECK US OUT
Cut pocahontest some slack. Some people don't know as many words as others....just the way God made us...and I don't think they were being close minded, they said the book was intriguing.
To answer your question about the book: I also like the plot. I understand what you are saying about the vocab...more about the southern diction...it can get kind of confusing (not bad, just confusing). I will say so far the book is better than i expected it to be.
all hail kung pow kapowski....thank you for taking my post in a mature fashion.
Oh no problem. I thought it would be good to actually talk about what the post is about instead of slamming people
actually. slamming people is perfectly fine for me..... i agree with pochantas on everything.
princess...i really think that you need to give samoanlove and pocahontest a chance because they are trying to learn and understand the book. the vocabulary can be a little confusing at times, but once you focus on what the author is trying to say things become much clearer.
yes! thats exactly how i feel. Thank you =]
Wait what book are we talking about now!?
i think the vocabulary is actually pretty easy to read, i don't know if it's because i've heard alot of accents in my life or what. like their eyes were wacthing god i felt was fairly easy to read as well. but this book is interesting i think, it isn't the greatest and most excited, but it keeps you thinking a little, and i think the southern lifetsyle, and how they do things sort of makes it more interesting...and who ever typed this post..i won't even say anything.
