How Has the Trial Changed the Characters?
Scout started out as a younge girl who knows nothing about the world outside her own, but now she is very aware of the world. She has changed in so many ways because of the trial. I wonder if she would have changed so much even if the trial never happened? She has learned that your skin has everything to do with living. Blacks have to work hard just to live and survive. Scout now understands this , but would she have know it just as soon if there was no trial?

She would have probably learned it eventually but it probably wouldn't have had as big of an impact.
I think that she already knew that, but I don't think she knew how unfair the world really is until the trial occured.
i agree with daydream she would have probably would have learned it because she lives in the south
I agree with bookworm. It took the trial to really make her understand more.
If there was no trial, there really wouldn't have been a book. But that's beside the point. Scout realizes that racism is wrong she sees how people really are. But i don't think she has grasped the full concept of what it really is. The only reason she even gets thtat much of it is because of atticus and all the trouble the trial caused him. So no i don't think she oulcd have learned the same lessons about people without Tom Robinson but i also think she hasn't mastered the life lesson completely. But you never know.
How did any of the other characters chang? atticus finally went sour after the trial,b ut do you think he changed that much?
