Random Acts of Kindness
Does anyone else think that Boo has been looking out for the kids? He gives Scout a blanket during the fire, I'm positive that he was leaving things in the tree for the children (Really, why else would Mr. Nathan plug up the hole?), and I think he sewed up Jem's pants when he lost them in the garden. I think he is just really shy and maybe autistic and he wants to make friends with the kids. Is anyone else thinking this?

Oh! wow i never thought about but now i do. I think that Boo is a nice person and that he just wants some friends. He's always so isolated......
I think that he probably is a fantastic person who just doesn't get out enough.
i agree with you. thats what i thought. i think hes just trying to make friends but doesnt know how. i think Mr. nathan did that so no one finds out stuff out boo.
I think this might be the case. Boo never really is seen and then suddenly things show up in the tree. The kids collect the items, but one day it is cover with cement. I think Mr. Radley did this to keep Boo away from everyone else in town.
Maybe he just never socialized enough, or maybe his family didn't want him getting out.
Maybe there's someting wrong with him and Mr. Radley is trying to protect him
I agree! He probably wants to make some friends and thinks the kids will be good friends.
yeah i agree with you.
he is looking out for the kids. who knows how long he has been watching these kids and getting to know them by their actions. i know sounds creepy. ha.
but i bet he is a nice guy and just wants friends. everyone needs friends. :)
I kind of feel bad for him- he seems like such a nice person. And they way that the author describes the town makes me believe that it is simply gossip.
