Feeling Bad for Boo....
Does anyone else feel bad for Boo Radley? I mean no one really knows how long he had been stuck in that house. If I was stuck in a house like he was I think I would go crazy!! How can he not come outside? Doesn't your body need sunlight to survive? I just do not understand how it is possible for him to stay in that house.

He could feel safe in the house, or maybe he is only able to leave home at night. He could have that rare allergy to uv rays.
He could also have never known what the outside world was like, besides when he was out with that gang.I think it might be a bit intimidating to have stayed inside for ten or more years, and to suddenly be thrust into the outside world. Plus, what do you think people would think of him? If you thought someone was a physcopath, then would you really wnat them out wandering in the street?
Na, I do not feel bad for Boo Radley.Not at all. He seems like the creepy old guy that lives down the street from me.This guy only comes out to walk the dog and leave his house. It is probably his "bubble". The only place that he can stay is in his bubble. And he probably does not want anyone to pop it. I would not want anyone to come and pop my bubble.
Wasn't the reason his parent want him to stay inside because of him stabbing one of them with scissors? Because of the fear that he could be a danger to someone else?

really nice fellow. ha I think people make up stories about him :(
What if the scissors was just neighborhood gossip? And what is wrong with him staying inside ecause he wants to? Half the neighborhood thinks he's crazy and if it was me I'd stay inside all the time too.
The way the kids talk about him makes him seem like an animal or a monster. Like he will eat them if they get too close. And they are fascinated with the idea of catching a glimps of him. I'm sure they will see him at one point in the book, and they won't see what they expected. He is just a person
I believe there is some reason for him to hide away, but I'm not sure what. He could have an illness, phobea, or he could be so much of a monster that his father is afraid to let him out. there may be a chance that if he were to get out he would attack someone. maybe his father thinks that, but he has changed and wants to be friends with the kids.
i think that he isn't a monster. but simply afraid of the outside world. i mean Mr.Radley kept him in there for so long, he must be frightened. and plus all the rumors about him going around might make him even more sad, him knowing that people think like that about him. i do feel bad for him. he probably just wants to be social and fit in with everyone else but never gets the chance to.
